Jayapriya Vidyalaya is an initiative by Mr. C. R. Jayasankar, the Managing Director of Jayapriya Group of Companies, Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, who has diverse business interests in areas ranging from finance and chit funds to real estate and hospitality management. Mr. Jayasankar believes that "Every Child In This World Deserves Quality Education".
He has ventured into the field of education by opening this CBSE school - Jayapriya Vidyalaya - at Virudhachalam, in the educationally backward Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The school is intended to benefit children residing in the surrounding villages within a radius of 20 km around Virudhachalam.
Mr. Jayasankar has conceptualized this school in such a way as to impart education both textbook-based and activity-based, and has inculcated various activity-based teaching and learning methods in the curriculum. He believes that activity-based learning makes a person creative and competitive.
